Rosh Hashanah marks the beginning of the Jewish New Year. Rosh Hashanah holiday dinner guests will dip slices of apple in honey to symbolize a sweet New Year ahead. A dear friend of mine hosts a gathering of friends and family for this holiday every year. She is a wonderful cook and a marvelous hostess so it is always a great evening. This time, I took quick photos of her table before the guests were seated.
My friend always makes her own Challah bread which looks and tastes so festive along with the pomegranate, apples and honey. When I inevitably drip a spoonful of honey onto the tablecloth, I am relieved to remember that, of course, she has Superior Table Pad under the cloth!
